Rolling hills Welcome to England with its lush green valleys hiding twixt its rolling hills, this country of diversity with its strong heritage for all to witness and historical past which can be discovered as the tourist travels the country lanes and roads that lead to many different pleasures. England will always be part of the British Isles which has a tremendous maritime tradition and one that can be enjoyed today...as the many yachts and boats sailing the waters confirm. But today it is an important part of the European Community with the Channel Tunnel linking to France and the rest of Europe which together with its English tradition that has blended with the influence of new culture filtering from Europe England is today a cosmopolitan country of the 21C

The cities that are dotted across this colourful landscape are mainly filled with medieval and historic treasures as they owe their birth to the Romans, Saxons and Normans who all settled and brought with them their own culture. This is reflected in the spectacular architecture to be seen, the castles, abbeys and holy remains to be discovered, the many places of interest to visit. All these sit comfortably next to the modern attractions of today with the entertainment complexes, new shopping malls set amongst traditional medieval buildings, European cuisine combining with the delights of the Asian continent...or perhaps a traditional plate of 'fish and chips'. No matter the need it can be satisfied by exploring the exciting vibrancy that is offered by many of the cities to be visited and enjoyed.

beach scene The towns and villages owe their origins to days long since gone but they offer an old charm and character which is individual to each as every county has its own history and tradition to display in its buildings, local culture and that friendly cheerful smile that waits the traveller. Some towns and villages have the benefit of being coastal resorts as well with the beauty of the sand, sea and sun to provide as relaxing escape. but there are other forms of rest to enjoy and these are to be found in the peaceful countryside where time can stand still as the gentle breeze sways its way onwards. England has so much to offer with its accommodation to satisfy every need from a five star hotel with full leisure facilities, health and beauty facilities to the family getaway camping or caravanning...which is a great option for those who want to be close to nature and are 'green conscious'. Not Camelot, but the next best thing, Warwick castle from the air England has changed with the passage of time and is providing the luxuries demanded by the 21C but still has a strong tradition with its historical past. it is a lovely country to visit and its here to be shared and enjoyed. And as you travel the countryside try and discover the most famous 'fictional' castle in the world. Camelot where the legendary King Arthur and his beautiful Queen Guinevere once ruled. Well perhaps that may be difficult to find but the romance of the legend typifies the beauty and the splendour of England's green pastures and embodies the spirit of this fair land.. but there is only one way to discover England and its hidden beauty.
